PolyPine is a cozy forest simulation game where you create habitats for plants, insects and animals, and click on animals to make them poop! Start with a few basic seeds and attempt to grow a thriving ecosystem.

Features

• Plant seeds and watch them grow in an advanced simulation where each branch uses water and sunlight to grow.
• Attract animals to your forest by creating suitable habitats for them. Once the habitat needs are met you can introduce that animal species to the forest.
• Click on animals to trigger different behaviors that influence the forest ecosystem. Clicking a fox makes it hunt. Clicking a vole makes it dig for roots to eat.
• Gain balance points every time you or an animal interacts with the forest. Use the balance points to buy more plants and animals, allowing you to gain balance points even faster in an addicting gameplay loop.
• Unlock More Plants and Animals as you create increasingly diverse ecosystems. Can you make all the animals thrive in your forest? Can you make the forest resilient against environmental changes and natural disasters?

History

I've always been fascinated by trees. Two years ago I decided to create a game where you play as a tree. When I showed it to friends and family they were much more excited about the animals than the trees. That's when I decided to create a game about ecosystems in the forest instead of just a tree simulator. The tree simulation code is still in there and adds an additional layer of depth to the game.
